Today, this blogger came across two interesting pieces of media that got me thinking there's fight left here. I may have only a little time to devote to it, but I can't shrink away from the fight. Part of me has wanted to believe the Obama nightmare would fade into the distance, and another small part secretly hopes he can prove us all wrong. I mean, he's a father with those two cute little girls, and his wife does have some nice outfits occasionally -- they can't be all bad, right? Maybe he actually has the character to stand for what's right and make the kind of decisions that will be in the best interests of Americans -- he is pretty analytical and intelligent, right?
And then there's the part of me that smacks the other two back into reality. Obama's philosophies are going to drag this country down even further. His type of community activism isn't going to help people. And his goals for education have always been built on indoctrination. So why don't the majority of my friends and acquaintances seem to get this?
Andrew Kavlan writes "Why We Fight," and I think his science is right on. Here's an excerpt:
What the right is experiencing at the moment is a phenomenon called "cultural para-stimuli." You can read all about it in Tom Wolfe’s wonderful novel I Am Charlotte Simmons. It’s sort of like peer pressure on steroids. It was discovered by Nobel Laureate Victor Ransome Starling, who found that when he surrounded normal cats with cats whose behavior had been bizarrely altered by brain surgery, the normal cats began acting like the crazy cats all around them.
That’s us–surrounded by the mainstream media. So steeped are we now in their lies about our representatives, their ridicule of our commentators, their demonizing dismissal of the causes we know are just, that we’ve begun to adopt their attitudes toward ourselves! And perhaps chief among the lies they’ve sold us is the lie that they’ve won, that the media are theirs for good and all, and that Americans are going to be hoodwinked and brainwashed by their constant barrage of misinformation forever.
Well, only if we let them. And only if we in the media surrender first.

And my favorite vlogger of the 2008 campaign is back with more posts. God love him.
These two media cool cats have given this moderate a daily dose of reality. We've got to keep up the fight. Obama's not right (he's way too far left).
